Snow Rider 3D is an endless runner game with a winter theme, playable in your browser; no downloads or installations are required. You control a sled as you hurtle down a snow-covered mountain.
Along the way are trees, rocks, snowmen, rolling snowballs, and deadly potholes. Don't crash into anything or you'll get a Game Over. Press Play again to start.
I played 5 rounds, each lasting over a minute. And after many more plays, I discovered some tips:
For obstacles like trees and pines. They stand still but often appear unexpectedly in narrow spaces. At this time, you need to steer the sled in the middle and turn slightly; don't jump because branches can still hit your head.
Snowmen are big, white, and easy to see but often stand in groups. You need to steer the sledge in a fast zig-zag motion, constantly left and right. Like running slalom.
Loud rocks are small, grey, and difficult to see when it's snowing heavily. At this stage, players must focus on the distant horizon rather than the immediate front of the car.
The rolling snowball is the most annoying trap because it moves. I had to strain my eyes to observe the direction it was rolling for 2–3 seconds, then turn in the opposite direction at the right moment.
Potholes and ravines are inescapable. Falling into them means death. You need to observe carefully; if you see an unusual dark colour, jump or turn immediately.
The final tip is to absolutely avoid looking directly at the car. Look far ahead for about 2-3 seconds. You'll see obstacles sooner and have time to react.
Rewards are scattered all over the road. Just pick them up as you pass by. Each reward box adds points to your "account" to unlock new cars.
Currently, the game has 9 types of cars. The most beautiful car is the Santa Sleigh, costing 200 reward boxes. The Modern Sleigh is quite fast and simple to control.
But don't be greedy for the rewards. I've lost countless lives just trying to dash to the side to pick up a box, only to crash straight into a tree. It's more advantageous to take your time and collect items gradually.
