Underwater Survival is an adventure survival game that puts you in the heart of the vast ocean. Dive into the ocean and explore what lies beneath the surface. Each underwater area holds its own secrets, and you can only unlock them if you are brave and well-prepared.

Exploring the Seas

  • You start in shallow water. Colorful coral. Light is still present. As you swim further out, things gradually change.
  • Bioluminescent coral reefs at night. Here you can discover rare algae that don't grow anywhere else.
  • Underwater caves are extremely dark and cramped. Oxygen depletes twice as fast, but inside you often encounter shipwrecks containing outdated technology.
  • The deep abyss is devoid of light. If you descend here, you will see creatures you've never seen before.

Underwater Survival: How to Survive in a Living Ocean

Underwater, you have three main stats:

  • Oxygen: The most important. When you run out of oxygen, you die in 10 seconds. You can recharge by surfacing or finding natural air bubbles.
  • Energy: The more you swim, the faster you tire. Exhaustion underwater means you can't escape strong currents or predators.
  • Temperature: The deeper you go, the colder the water gets. Without the right suit, you'll die from hypothermia before you run out of oxygen.

Underwater Survival

Learn to read the ocean

Resources exist, but not everything is safe to collect. Some corals cause temporary paralysis upon contact. There are schools of small, seemingly harmless fish that will attack when you try to collect their eggs. You must learn to read the ocean: which prey is safe, which currents lead you to resources, and most importantly, when to return.

Create your own underwater base

After the first few hours of intermittent diving, you'll realize one thing: to survive deep, you need an underwater home. A base isn't just shelter; it's the heart of the entire journey.

You can:

  • Build pressure chambers, each serving as a functional room for storage, crafting, research, or oxygen replenishment.
  • Upgrade your base to withstand pressure at greater depths; a level 1 base only survives in shallow waters. To descend to a depth of 500 meters, you need a level 3 base or higher.
  • Expand by connecting multiple bases through tunnels. You can create a literal underwater network.

Your base isn't completely secure. Underwater storms can damage the structure. Some large creatures may attack. You'll have to frequently return for repairs and reinforcements. But standing in the middle of your base, looking out at the ocean through the glass windows, and listening to the steady hum of the oxygen generators will give you a sense of accomplishment unlike any other game.

Gather resources and craft

Every item you pick up from the seabed has a reason for existing.

  • Red algae is the hemostatic agent.
  • Giant clam shells serve as sawblades for cutting seaweed.
  • Metal ore from shipwrecks is used to build the base frame and diving tools.
  • Bioluminescent eggs are used as low-energy lights for the base.

The crafting system isn't difficult. The rarer the ingredients, the more the recipes naturally expand. You don't need to memorize hundreds of recipes; craft them once, and the game will remember them. But don't hoard too much. Small bases don't have enough storage. And carrying too much while diving will cause you to consume 1.5 times more oxygen. Resource management here is a matter of life and death.

Unlock new areas and venture deeper into the ocean

This is the most addictive loop in the game. You can't go deep right from the start. Deepwater areas require:

  • A high-pressure diving suit (crafted from resources in the 200m zone)
  • Larger oxygen tanks (require a Level 2 base for research)
  • A powerful diving light (found in shipwrecks in the 150m zone)

Each time you unlock a new area, you realize, "Oh, it turns out I'm only on the edge."

  • At 300m: you see bioluminescent creatures moving in swarms like a river of light for the first time.
  • At 600m: you find traces of a once-existing underwater civilization. No one can explain it.
  • At 1000m: the game has no background music. Only the sound of heartbeats and water pressing against the glass. And their eyes shine in the darkness.

The deeper, the more terrifying it is. The deeper, the more beautiful. And the deeper, the fewer players dare to descend a second time.

Never hold Shift to swim continuously. You'll run out of oxygen midway and won't have time to turn back. Swim slowly, observe, and only speed up when there are predatory fish or strong currents.

In summary, should you play Underwater Survival?

Underwater Survival offers a truly immersive ocean experience. Floating, diving meter by meter, and exploring the depths of the ocean. It's a feeling no land-based survival game can provide. Immerse yourself in this game. And see if you dare to go even deeper.
